Eating in a hurry - tips
Here it’s me again, back with the next 5 tipps for Eating in a hurry. If you didn't get the first 5 Tips you are welcome to read them on my homepage in my newsletter-archiv. There it goes:
6. Keep your pantry and refrigerator stocked with healthy, fat loss friendly foods. Brown rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, wholegrain pasta, frozen vegetables, frozen meats, beans, canned tuna, and spices are some great staples to keep stocked in your house. As you can have a bigger amount of all of these, you don’t need to shop all the time and will be saved from shopping goods that won’t be good for you… KEY POINT: Don’t kid yourself. If you stock up on sweet, unhealthy snacks in your pantry you’re gonna eat them. But if you stock up on healthy snacks, you’ll have no choice but to eat them.
7. Carry a bottle of water around with you everywhere, and drink regularly.. Staying regularly hydrated will help keep your thirst in check so you don’t confuse THIRST for HUNGER. A good tip here is to pick up a good stainless steel water bottle or better yet, glass water bottle, and fill up regularly.
8. Keep snacks handy at all times. You should always have some sort of healthy snack on you at ALL times. In your purse, in your car, in your desk and in your gym bag (just don’t keep them near your stinky shoes). One of the best snacks to keep handy are raw, unsalted nuts mixed with organic no-sugar added raisins. If you need a quick boost, a small handful of this mixture will give you the protein, fats and carbs needed to get you through to your next meal.
9. Pack a cooler. Packing a cooler the night before with all of your meals and snacks is the BEST way to ensure that you have food available and that you don’t skip out on meals. I have been doing these now for years myself and I’ve used this trick with a lot of my busy working clients very successfully. Just place a frozen ice bag in the cooler to keep your food fresh and cool throughout the day.
10. Know your food safe-zones. What are Food safe-zones? Simple. It’s a grocery store or restaurant that you know has good, quick and healthy snacks and meals. Instead of thinking as a fast-food chain or gas station as your pit stop, why not check out a local grocery store? Not only can you pick up fresh fruits and nuts, you can also find pre-made meals that are generally healthier than something you can find in a vending machine or at the diner. It’s not ideal, I know, but know where you’re safe-zones are, especially if you are traveling.
I hope you enjoyed reading this tips and then immediately try to realize all or most of them alright? Wishing you all a nice weekend!
Christine
