Are you training hard enough?
Are you training hard enough? I will tell you the truth – if it would be so easy to have a great body we would all be in perfect shape! Women would look like Jessica Elba and Men like Vin Diesel (or anybody else, you like his or her appearance). You are healthy without any orthopedic problems, have been training for a while now and visit the gym regulary but don’t get the results? So go on reading this. Now, from a scientific perspective, Intensity in the weight training context refers to the amount of work required to achieve the activity, and is proportional to the mass of the weights being lifted. Wether you are working out with the right Intensity or not I can’t tell you. You know, because you feel that you are pushing yourself with that weight to the limit. That means after a certain amount of reps, let’s say 12, you would just be able to do the last rep with the right movement instead of being able to do a few more with ease. The idea is to be absolutely obsessed with your training during your session. Focus exclusively on your program, for 30 or 45 or 60 minutes. Forget your problems, your limits or your work. Forget that you have a date and need to pick out a sweet outfit. AND your cell-phone stays in the locker. Usually I do 10-12 reps during my workout per set. Believe me; sometimes I really want to put down the weights after the 8th or 10th repetition. But I focus again and get another 2 reps done. Those 2 reps may help me to activate even more musclefibers, to get stronger and to build the most possible musclemass for my body. The point here is that you have to reach a level of tolerance — yes you have to teach yourself to be comfortable with a certain level of discomfort. Get out of your comfort-zone. From there, you can achieve almost anything you want. How to do this? Increasing training intensity is a process, so here is the basic idea. Try to progress, each and every workout, for the next 8 weeks. For the next two months, every single time you train, do one of the following: Don’t stop following you program. The fact that you plan is what sets you apart. It’s what helps you develop in a symmetrical, healthy way. Proper program design is of vital importance, and will help you take your development to the greatest level. Knowing the right things to do, and in the right order is what is going to help you strip fat off your body and build lean tissue. But understand this: the best training program in the world is absolutely worthless without the will to execute it properly, consistently, and with intensity. Maybe it will hurt. Try the above tips for just 2 month, and I guarantee you’ll get better results than ever before. So download some new songs, go to the gym, get your workout chart, and when you start, be completely focused and thin on the progression you will make. Give all and when it’s going to be hard, give more! Lots of success to you! Christine
It is all on you how you will profit from Training, how much you are willing to give. How much intensity you want to push into your workout! Intensity isn’t like Intensity. I talk about tough workout, which forms your body. You think you train hard? No, I don’t mean the hours and hours Walking or Running or Biking while you feel like you aren’t able to catch any breath and your pulse goes up till the highest point. Maybe makes you skinny, but who wants to be only skinny? In fact, weight-training is what brings you a well-formed, defined and muscular body!
With Chris-Fit you train hard, we don’t scream, we don’t go insane and throw weights around, but we push hard, from exercise to exercise, trying to get more out of ourselves than our bodies want to give; till the last rep.
